The city of Al-Baha is the capital of the Al-Baha region and the seat of its governorate, and it is one of the most prominent tourism and agricultural cities in Saudi Arabia. The city combines natural beauty with administrative and commercial capabilities, as it contains many government departments and major commercial centers. It also includes well-known traditional markets, the most notable of which is the Thursday Market.
The city is distinguished by its location surrounded by beautiful forests such as Raghadan Forest, Al-Shahba Forest, Dar Al-Jabal, and Al-Zarqa, in addition to Wadi Faiq, which was visited by Sharif Hussein. Natural beauty is scattered throughout these areas, making it a wonderful tourist destination.
Al-Baha is witnessing continuous development and is considered a vital center in the region. It is bordered to the north by Al-Qura Governorate, to the west by Al-Mandaq and Al-Makhwah Governorates, to the south by Baljurashi Governorate, and to the east by Al-Aqiq Governorate. The city’s population is estimated at about 90,515 people, reflecting demographic and cultural diversity that enhances Al-Baha’s importance in the heart of the Kingdom.
